Membership Plans

​

Per the membership agreement, all members are required to sign up for a membership plan.  Details of our offerings will be disclosed to you in your interview during the membership application process.

​

Membership Benefits

​

​As a member of the Shaka Club, you will have access to:

​

  • Our exclusive community of young professionals in New York City

​​

  • Frequent, member-only events at special venues throughout New York ​

    • The club hosts events regularly for smaller groups of about 25 members that enable members to get to know each other while enjoying exclusive New York experiences. 

    • We encourage you to attend at least one event per month to fully experience the club! Events will begin with our launch event in September. 

​​

  • The club hosts larger events quarterly that gather the membership in bigger numbers to celebrate special occasions, such as our holiday party this coming December.

​

The Membership Services provided by the Shaka Club also include but are not limited to:

​

  • The club organizes and hosts events for members;

​​

  • The club brings members together through events and other offerings;

​​

  • The club liaises with venues, performers, and other third parties for events;

​​

  • The club manages membership, including but not limited to the application and approval process for new members, activities to promote and grow membership, incident review process, and other considerations;

​​

  • The club manages systems through which members are made aware of, sign up for, and pay for events, including the club's website; and 

​​

  • The club manages systems for payment of membership dues. 

​

Membership Rules

​

You are prohibited from, and expressly agree that you will not:

​

  • Behave in a manner deemed disorderly by the Shaka Club or the owner/controller of an event venue at events, including but not limited to being disruptive to other members, being visibly impaired by alcohol or other substances, engaging in any illegal activity, using illegal substances, being destructive of materials owned by the club or the venue or any third parties associated with the event, being aggressive or violent, or harassing other members or performers or staff from third parties or representatives of the Shaka Club;

  • Engage in behavior towards other members deemed inappropriate by the Shaka Club or said other members on the Shaka Club's platforms;

​

  • Solicit business from other members of the Shaka Club in a manner deemed inappropriate or intrusive by said members or the organization;

​

  • Circumvent or disable any content protection system or digital rights management technology used with any membership services;

​

  • Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble or otherwise reduce any membership services to a human-readable form;

​

  • Remove identification, copyright, or other proprietary notices in or on the membership services;

​

  • Access or use any membership services in an unlawful or unauthorized manner, or in a manner that suggests an association with our content, products, services or brands, unless you have an executed agreement with us that allows for such activity (this includes but is not limited to attending events member has not successfully registered for, attempting to act as a representative of the Shaka Club with third parties at events, and misusing digital properties or profiles owned by the Shaka Club);

​

  • Use, alter, copy, modify, store, sell, reproduce, distribute, republish, download, publicly perform, display, post, transmit, create derivative works of, or exploit any membership services or any part thereof, except as expressly authorized as part of the membership services provided to you;

​

  • Introduce a virus or other harmful component, or otherwise tamper with, impair, or damage any membership services or connected network, or interfere with any person or entity's use or enjoyment of any of the membership services;

​

  • Access, monitor, or copy any element of the membership services using a robot, spider, scraper or other automated means or manual process without our express written permission; or

​

  • Sell, resell, or make commercial use of the membership services, unless you have an executed agreement with us that expressly allows for such activity.

​

  • Abuse the guest policy by consistently brining the same guest to a high percentage of events you attend (with such abuse being determined at the discretion of the Shaka Club). 

 

Notice: We may modify this Membership Handbook from time to time. When we update this document, we will revise the “Effective Date” date above and post the new Membership Handbook.  We recommend that you review the Membership Handbook each time you visit the Services to stay informed of our policies.
